THE PROBLEM WE ARE TRYING TO ADDRESS

COVID -19 has impacted Millions of young people who are struggling to build better lives for themselves and their families.

What We Do:

Samata Young Professional Program conducts 6 months short-term course, focusing on young women, trans community members and men from rural areas and urban slums. Samata's Young Professional Program focuses on skills training, critical thinking, employability skills, English, computer literacy, and life skills through its cohort-based immersion learning programme for young men, women, and non-binary persons from rural and urban slums. We assist young people in developing their professional skills during their undergraduate and postgraduate studies. We also mentor small groups of young people who want to start their own organizations and promote the creation of new jobs.

Samata Center aspires to play a significant role in empowering young people to make decisions about their future and line of work. Towards this end, we organise "Orientation Sessions on Employment Opportunities and Skills Awareness Sessions," also known as "Future of Work Sessions," which are aimed at young men, transgender persons, and women in order to address the poor exposure and lack of information that are particularly common among rural youth.

Samata's young professionals program follows a four-step process:

01

Outreach, Mobilization and Enrolment

As a part of the outreach we conduct Future of Work Sessions for youths who come from low-income communities and rural areas. Samata Associates visit the low-income communities, rural areas, slums wherein they meet the community leaders, and other stakeholders. We have our community partner organisations who assist us in the reach out for the program and mobilising for the Future of Work Sessions. Once the student registers for Samata Young Professionals, our team will screen applications and all those who fulfil the application criteria receive email for acceptance for the Scholars Program
02

Orientation Session

After enrolling, young people go through an orientation programme where we hold two-week immersive learning sessions that are centred on SWOT principles. Through the interplay of innovative activities, group challenges, and learning from successful entrepreneurs, orientation offers an opportunity to break the ice.
03

Counselling

We will get the chance to comprehend the Young Professional during the orientation session. A one-on-one counselling session will be held after this to assist each young person in determining how to plan their path toward a fulfilling profession. Students will receive the following details from the counselling session to help them make this choice: an examination of their goals and interests, an evaluation of their ability, and employability landscape.
04

Vocational Courses and Training

After Orientation and Counselling session we begin with are 6 months immersive learning journey with offline and online modules which focus on job application guide, leadership, team work, English speaking, job preparedness and communication skills. We have partnerships with skilling partners and educators. The programme also emphasises enabling young people learn the essential techniques, approaches, and ideas of human resource management and create their own management styles. We conduct a debrief each week, interact with young professionals, keep tabs on their attendance, and work hard to uphold the standard of the programme.
05

Our Mission is Enabling Future Leaders

We don't charge for our support which enables the students to concentrate on their studies rather than their finances.

Equal opportunities are provided, and the playing field is levelled. Our mentees come from circumstances where getting into a top university requires considerable obstacles to overcome. We pair mentors with students who have the potential to attend a top institution but need your help to turn their enthusiasm for their topic into a top university spot. All you'll need is a laptop and access to the internet. Although talent is distributed equitably, opportunity is not. We're going to change that. We use cutting-edge technology and free support from top undergraduates and graduates to help low-income students get into the best colleges. We started in 2020 and are growing so quickly that we expect our platform to be mentoring 1000+ low-income children by 2025.

We want to create a cutting-edge technology platform that equalizes the playing field.

One-on-one coaching has been shown to be one of the most effective methods for realizing potential. Mentorship, however, has been out of reach for most students until now. So we're building the Samata platform to make our fantastic network of mentors available to students from low-income backgrounds at any time and from anywhere, as well as provide skill development training and courses.

Although our platform is free for students, we do require funding to expand our operations and make this free platform available to a larger number of people.
Please get in touch if you're a philanthropist or a donor interested in supporting us!
